The issue contains findings of independent monitoring on the EU Visa Policy in Ukraine in the year 2012. The publication offers and independent assessment evaluation of the implementation of two legislative acts: the EU-Ukraine Visa-Facilitation Agreement (VFA), the EU Visa Code. Positive and negative tendencies of the EU Visa Policy’s specific components are also reflected in the analysis.

In order to provide you with a complex analysis of the EU Visa Policy in Ukraine apart from visa practice monitoring, the publication offers an analysis of official visa issuance statistics by EU consulate in Ukraine and other third countries. These statistics is placed at the EC official webpage (http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/borders-and-visas/visa-policy/index_en.htm)

We would like to stress that some of the EU consulates refute specific indicators of the EC official visa statistics. In order to provide balanced and complex information the publication encompasses mentioned refutation and contains the data given by representatives of these consulates.
