Within the celebration of Day of Europe in Ukraine, public initiative “Europe without Barriers” conducted public debates and public action “Removing visa barriers together! Europe is our home!”supported by the International Renaissance Foundation. The Head of EU Delegation to Ukraine Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, the Director of the EU Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Filipchuk, the Member of European Parliament Pawe? Zalewski, ambassadors and representatives of the EU embassies, Ukrainian experts and analysts participated in public debates.

The roundtable "Schengen consulates in assessments and ratings: results of public monitoring on issuing visas by the EU Member States to Ukrainian citizens (fourth wave)" was held on 27th of October, 2010 in the "Rus" hotel. Public initiative "Europe without Barriers" presents the results of the fourth wave of public monitoring on issuing visas by the EU Member States to Ukrainian citizens, conducted with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.

On September 10, 2010 Public initiative the "Europe without Barriers" and Center for Peace, Conversion and Foreign Policy of Ukraine supported by International Renaissance Foundation presented the publication of “The visa-free Europe for the Eastern Partnership countries: a way to achieve" dedicated to the strategy and tactical priorities of the Eastern Partnership countries’ bid for visa-free regime with the European Union. In addition, the statistics of the EU visa issuance to the citizens of Ukraine and other states of the world in 2009 was presented for the first time in Ukraine.

The Parliamentary Hearings “The legislative support for visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union” were held On May 19, 2010. They were organized by the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration in cooperation with the Public Initiative “Europe without Barriers”

The Roundtable discussion “EU-Ukraine Visa dialogue: Challenges and Prospects” was held on May 7, 2010 by public initiative “Europe without Barriers”, The Centre for Peace, Conversion and Foreign Policy of Ukraine (Kyiv) in cooperation with the European Policy Centre (EPC), Brussels, with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation (European program). The event was held in the EPC venue in Brussels, close to the EU institutions’ buildings.

EWB and the regional branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Uzhgorod held a briefing “The EU Visa Code” with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.

October 5, 2009 a roundtable organized by the civic initiative "Europe without Barriers" and the Centre for Peace, Conversion and Foreign Policy of Ukraine in October, was devoted to monitoring results on issuing visas to citizens of Ukraine by the EU consulates and regulatory and infrastructure ensuring the visa-free regime with the European Union.
