EU-Georiga close to visa liberalization plan

Acting State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia Tornike Gordadze met with the Director General for Internal Affairs of the European Commission, Stefano Manservis.

The sides discussed the issues of liberalization of visa regime and it is likely that the plan of action will be presented to Georgia in December.

According to Stefano Manservis the negotiations about visa regime liberation will continue with the new government of Georgia.

“We witnessed substantial changes in Georgia and all these happened in a democratic manner. It’s not alternative that is important for us, but what has been done so far. This is a fundamental base for our cooperation with the new government so that the liberalization of visa regime is achieved as soon as possible. We are working on finalizing the plan that will be reviewed by the future government. It will be finalized by the end of the year,“ said Stefano Manservis.
